Litepanels was one of the first major brands on the scene when LEDs first began to make inroads into photographic and cinematic lighting. It all had to do with the now-ubiquitous 1 x 1′ LED panel, now having been updated to the Astra Bi-Color LED Panel. By using an array of high-quality LEDs, Litepanels was able to create a fixture that was lightweight, powerful, and could produce a soft output—all beneficial qualities when considering lights for photography.
